Weekend at Caitlin's

This is my Xena Pal Caitlin's account of the weekend I spent up in Fredricksburg with her:

I thought I should write before WarriorDoc gets a chance to hook up her computer and start spreading her tales about our Mary Washington.jpg (121882 bytes) weekend together. ;) It was one hell of an adventure - we learned how to install a cd-burner (it only took us 2 trips to the store, 6 hours, 1 pizza, 2 diet pepsis and a coke), we got stuck on a roller coaster, and WD got to see where I waste... er, that is, spend my days (see pic - Mary Washington College)

We started the weekend by attempting to get a cd writer for WD's computer. After much hassle, we thought we finally had it right. Until we figured out that her damn Australian computer runs on different current, and the American cd writer was unable to cope. So back to the store where good ol' Chip was more than happy to help us again. This time we got an external drive, plus a USB port thingie. Once we figured out that brute force isn't always bad in a computer, we got the USB port installed, got the drive
installed, and voila! We were done! We quickly went to bed, with me magnaminously giving up my bed to sleep on the floor. We needed our rest for the coming adventure.

After getting a VERY late start, we made our way down to King's Dominion, an amusement park here in Virginia. And Tracy, do NOT Volcano.jpg (71250 bytes) mention my complete lack of directional sense! We never mention that again! KD has lots of rides, including many roller coasters. I used to be terrified of coasters, but a few years ago I went on my first one, and have been able to go on many since. I don't generally open my eyes, but I have been working up to that. WD will say that I wussed out of two of the coasters, which is true, but they were wooden, and those just suck. I went on most of them,
including Volcano: The Blast Coaster, which combined two of my most hated thing - fire and roller coasters. It actually wasn't too bad. That was the one ride we went on twice. After being stuck on a different coaster for a freaking long time, we made our way back to Volcano, and I actually kept my eyes open the whole
time! I would have gone again, but unfortunately, the park was closing. I hear WD has a picture of us on Volcano that she may be posting...

Well, this little girl is very sleepy after her big day, and is now off to attempt to find something to watch on TV and then go to bed. And, whatever WD says, don't believe her! Unless I say to. So there. Can we tell I'm tired? ;)
